Communist Agenda, Liberal Agenda

The following list was written through the 30s, 40s and 50s, published in 1958 by W. Cleon Skousen, a 16 year vetern of the FBI and one of the foremost experts on Communism and finally published into the Congressional Record by Congressman Albert S. Herlong, Jr. (D-Fl) on January 10, 1963.

The book was called The Naked Communist. (Barnes & Noble Link Amazon.com Link)

After reading the list, think of each one, figure out of its happening, has happened, or hasn't happened. Then think of who the leaders were, and their political affiliation, that brought it about. Google is allowed.

Remember, this was from the middle of this century. 40-60 years ago.

1. U.S. should accept coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.

2. U.S. should be willing to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.

3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the U.S. would be a demonstration of "moral strength."

4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.

5. Extend long-term loans to Russia and Soviet satellites.

6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.

7. Grant recognition of Red China and admission of Red China to the U.N.

8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev's promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the U.N.

9. Prolong the conferences to ban atomic tests because the U.S. has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet satellites individual representation in the U.N.

11. Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces.

12. Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the U.S.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations that are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings," substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. " Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art."

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a "religious crutch."

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state"

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of "the big picture." Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

36. Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business.

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies.

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45. Repeal the Connally Reservation so the U.S. cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

PETA says, "Save the fish...hate your Daddy!"

PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has declared war of humans in general. This is not new. Its been going on for years.

Now, they have targeted your father. Didn't you know he was a homicidal maniac?

I'll get to that in a minute. They began as a group fighting against animal testing. They later graduated to throwing blood (real and fake) onto people wearing fur (real and fake).

What humanitarians.

Oh, I forgot, they're against humans.

They began handing out a pamphlet, with a man happily eating a fish, telling kids to keep their puppies and kitties away from daddy because he's "hooked on killing."

PETA's response to the problems everyone has with this?

"The scientific facts are that fish feel pain in the same way as dogs and cats. It's no more acceptable to hook a fish through the mouth and drag them into your boat and slice them in half than it would be to do the exact same thing to a dog or a cat," said Bruce Friedrich, vegan campaign coordinator for PETA.

Straight from the horses mouth...or another body part.

Never mind that scientists that have studies this have said that fish do not have feelings of pain in this manner. In fact, the only pain sensors fish have are no where near their faces.

Moms, don't think you got away free on this one. PETA recently ended a campaign calling Mommy a "chicken killer."

PETA claims its only goal is to reduce meat consumption by changing children's eating habits.

And that's done by turning kids against their parents? Where do I sign up?

Why, right here. http://www.peta.org/

You can also send e-mails to the head honchos. But, practice your zen-like patience. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now for a response to my questions on this subject.

Its amazing how eating animals is considered cruelty. I bet, when these people were kids they would kill for a nice juicy steak. Speaking of, its dinner time.

Its all about the giving!

Woman, 73, says she was knocked down, stepped on during 'Black Friday' at Sawgrass Mills

By Joseph Mann Sun-Sentinel
Posted November 25 2005, 9:26 AM EST

"Black Friday," the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, began in South Florida early today with a 73-year-old woman being knocked down as a crowd at an electronics store rushed a metal security gate to get inside.

The crowd of shoppers outside BrandsMart USA in Sawgrass Mills, angry at being forced to wait by security personnel, pushed their way under the security gate and down a hallway into the store, forcing dozens of people against the walls and trampling the woman.

This is just one story of what is going on this first weekend of the Christmas Shopping Season.

At one time, the Christmas season was all about giving, kindness, and spending time enjoying the company of friends and families.

Now, its a mad rush to buy everything before its gone.

The big item this season is the XBOX 360, the newest entry into the video gamer's wet dreams. When it was announced that it would be released in time for Christmas, it was immediately the "must have" of the year.

But, its not just the XBOX that everyone wants. Its EVERYTHING. While the woman above was sitting there, bleeding from the head, the manager asked if they needed any help, her daughter called the police, and every other shopper just streamed by in a mad gluttonous rush.

Ah, the almighty dollar, being spent in a rush that would give Alexander Hamilton a woody.

Fights have broken out, people sent to the hospital, all in the name of capitalism.

BrandsMart personnel tried to keep the total number of shoppers in the store to about 500 to meet fire department regulations, he said.

"There is more than enough for everybody. The sale is going on all day," he shouted as frustrated shoppers shouted back, complaining they were tired of waiting.

"We have your money out here," one woman responded angrily. "We need to go to other stores. I can't stand here all day."

There are 29 days of shopping left until Christmas. I'm sure sometime in the next 29 days they can find a couple of spare minutes to go to the store and make their purchases.

Let the circus begin

Cindy Sheehan has returned to Crawford.

Someone raise the big top. Bring in the big cannon. Who knows where the acrobatic elephants are? You, put up the tightrope.

P.T. Barnum would be so proud.

Yes, the woman who called the people who killed her son "freedom fighters" has brought the circus back to the President's backyard.

She was late by almost a week after she had a "family emergency" so she had to miss the jail-in earlier in the week. Perhaps her "family emergency" was her mother, still in the hospital after a stroke. Perhaps it was her family, asking her not to use her son's name to further her political ends.

Either way, ssshhheee'sss bbbaaaaaaaaaccckkk.

And she's "heartbroken."

Its so sad. After 3 months of being ignored in Washington, DC, of insulting everyone she had a meeting with after they didn't fall into lockstep, she's "heartbroken" that no body listened to her and pulled the troops out of Iraq.

But, she was there to celebrate Thanksgiving with her friends, eating an Iraqi meal of salmon, lentils, rice with almonds and a salad of parsley, tomatoes, cucumbers and bulgur wheat to show "solidarity" with the Iraqi people.

Why does this woman get so much press attention? Aside from the fact that its anti-Bush that is.

This woman's son, Casey, was killed in Iraq last year. She then met with President Bush, and soon after said she was happy and content with the meeting.

Less than a year later, she was sitting outside the "Western White House" in Crawford, Texas, to protest the "American Occupation" of Iraq. She then said she wanted to meet with President Bush...again...to ask "why her son had died."

What is her problem? She didn't agree with her son's enlistment into the Army. She said once in September that she didn't want the US to have an army at all. And she says her son became so disbelieving in the War in Iraq that he has spoken through her and called President Bush a "murderer."

Apparently, young Casey was always against the military, as well as the War against Terror, starting soon after his enlistment.

Ms. Sheehan apparently has never known that the preparation work that goes into a military deployment. It includes a 4-6 month intensive training cycle where they know before it starts they will deploy to a combat zone.

According to the time line given by Ms. Sheehan herself, Young Casey's enlistment would have ended before he left for Iraq. But, it was during the pre-deployment cycle that Young Casey re-enlisted.

But, he was against the war from the start.

Mom will have many more times to get arrested in her son's name as the county that Crawford is in has made a law that there will be no camping in ditches.

But, the media will be there to help her get her message out to the masses, as long as SHE "stays the course."

Hollywood Hillary

Back in late September, I decided to watch a little TV. I remembered that Americans Broadcasting Communism (ABC to the lay-person) was starting a new political show, Commander In Chief. I decided to watch that.

If you aren't familiar with the show, Geena Davis (liberal) plays the role of Independent Party VP Allen. She was in private life until she accepted the VP nomination. In a stroke of luck she's catapulted into the Presidency upon the death of the President (Republican). Donald Sutherland (very liberal) plays the Speaker of the House (Republican) who fights against the new President at every turn, because he wants the job.

In the first episode, in addition to learning of the President's death and moving into the White House, she wants to rescue a pregnant Muslim woman in Africa who is going to be put to death for adultery. The African country bluffs that they'll kill any American who comes in to rescue her. The new President calls the bluff, and the woman is rescued. High-fives all around.

Not bad for a pilot. I'd like to see less instigation and pettiness from a devout liberal playing a devout Republican.

The next week, I decided to watch again. Time to pick a new VP. The Speaker of the House wants one person, she wants another. He stabs her in the back by naming who he wants. She fumes and calls in her choice, then announces it to the world, with no consultation, which furies the Speaker.

Ok, this is getting a little childish. One more try.

Week 3. A DEA agent is killed in some jerkwater South American country. Allen wants to arrest the killer, Speaker doesn't. Allen sticks to her guns, and no Americans are killed in the op to bring the killer to justice.

3 times now, the President has stuck to her guns, done what she thought was right, against public opinion, and wins with no bloodshed.

What would a real-life female President do if she stuck to her guns and did what she thought was right? Would she win every time? According to Americans Broadcasting Communism, she would.

And who is the biggest Dem ready to run for the White House? Mrs. Hillary Clinton. 2008 will feature President Allen doing all the right things, to show that Mrs. Clinton can do it as well.

Lets look at the parallels, shall we?

Allen, in private life before she became VP. Clinton, in private life before she became Senator.

Allen, woman. Clinton, woman (kinda).

Allen, promoted all the "right causes" while she was VP. Clinton, promoting all the "right causes" while in the Senate.

Allen, not squeamish about using American troops to further her revenge. Clinton, not squeamish about using American troops to further her political agenda.

These will be drawn on during the campaign of 2008.

And now, to set herself up, Hillary is taking a "let's wait and see" approach to the troop pull-out in Iraq. http://www.breitbart.com/news/2005/11/23/051123234916.im6qdj1m.html

In the article, Hillary is quoted as saying, "My approach is we tell them we expect you to meet these certain benchmarks and that means getting troops and police officers trained, equipped and ready to defend their people."

Hillary, in recent months, after voting to give President Bush the power to invade Iraq, then turned against the war. Now, she's turning into a right-wing hawk.

What will she change into in 2008? I hope we don't have to find out.

Affirmative Action, or Reverse Discrimination

The University of Southern Illinois has instituted a program to give minorities a leg up in their Graduate Studies. I applaud the interest, but hate the idea behind it.

Are minorities the only ones struggling to pay their Graduate College bills? College is very important, Graduate Studies are a little less important. But, they are necessary in today's job market.

This is not an isolated case.

The University of Michigan was sued by students that didn't get in because the admissions policy said that minorities should get more than whites. Never mind that GPA and all the other things that go into selection have now been placed on the back burner in favor of the color of someone's skin.

A study conducted in the late 1990s had students apply to universities all across the nation. Their essays were identical, all the information on the application was identical, aside from one item. Two applications were filled out for each student, one with the box labeled "Caucasian" checked, one with a minority checked. On each one, the names were slightly changed to distinguish between the two applications.

The applications from the "minority" students were accepted with a ratio of over 3 to 1. Those applying for scholarships were accepted 5 to 1.

What does this tell the minorities? That, even if they are as qualified or less qualified, they are more likely to be approved by far than whites. Then, once they get out of college, they expect this to continue in the job market.

We all have seen whites promoted in the "buddy system" that are far under-qualified for the job they accept. This is the main reason for the affirmative action laws. But, we also have seen minorities promoted who are also far under-qualified, for the simple reason that if they aren't, the company might be sued.

Affirmative action does not work anymore. At first it was necessary because minorities couldn't get a foot in the door. But, its grown outdated. Its gives minorities a sense of entitlement.

"I'm black, so I deserve this." "This is mine, after all, I'm a woman." "If I don't get it, I'll sue."

Before the hate mail starts, I don't believe that all minorities are useless. There are some, but by far, not all. There are many minorities, women, whites, men, name your favorite mammal, and they are more likely to be very qualified for the job they hold.

Therefore, why do we still have affirmative action? At one time it was necessary. Now, its a relic that just gives more ammunition to those who consider skin color and gender to be something to be hated and despised. It gives the hate groups like KKK and Aryan groups a reason for more hate.

"In God We Trust"

Do me a favor. Take out your wallet. Take out a dollar bill. Look at it. Say hello to George. Now, turn it over. Look for these words, "In God We Trust."

Don't have a dollar, take out a five, ten, twenty, fifty, hundred, or any higher bill (if you have one higher, can I have a loan?). On the back, look for "In God We Trust." I'll give you a second, you'll find it.

See it? Good.

Now, ask yourself the following questions:

What does it mean?

Why does it say that?

Does this offend me?

If you ask those questions to Michael Newdow, he'll say that it puts God in our government, since money is the currency of the US Government. It says it because the Government wants religion in your life, whether you want it or not. And its extremely offensive to him because he's an atheist.

I also am an atheist. It does not bother me. In fact, just the opposite.

I don't believe in God, as most do. But, I wish more people did. I don't care which God, just find one, and see if you can believe in him/her/it.

People who believe in God, for most cases, have higher morals, are more honest, and are generally better people and citizens than those who don't. I'm not saying all of them are, but if you find someone who does believe in religion and one who doesn't, its more likely that the one that does believe will be a better person.

Benjamin Franklin once said "If men are so wicked with religion, what would they be if without it?"

A few years later, John Adams said "Religion and good morals are the only solid foundation of public liberty and happiness."

Take Newdow for instance. He spent years trying to get two words removed from the Pledge of Allegiance, or to ban the Pledge altogether, and used his daughter to do it. Never mind that he had weekend custody of her, and she didn't mind the words themselves, he just figured the church brainwashed her.

How hard is it to NOT use your child to make your point. How hard is it to say that YOU don't want your child to have a choice made for them...but, he said his daughter didn't like it.

In 1864, on the 2-cent coin, that was the first instance that "In God We Trust" was on money. In the one-hundred forth years since it has appeared and disappeared on money. But, why is this a problem? In 1955, "In God We Trust" was placed on all money by an Act of Congress.

Taking a look back at the quotes above, one of the biggest rallying cries begin to be dismantled.

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;"

And here is the problem. It says "no law respecting an establishment of religion." This is not establishing a religion. Of the major religions, all use "God" to name their Deity. So, how is this "establishment of religion?" Simple answer...its not.

So, next, it goes to the founders being "deists." That is, not believing in God. How they believe that the founders didn't want this country based on religion makes me scratch my head.

But, even a few more quotes blow this out of the water, as well.

The first Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, John Jay, and a yes vote to the US Constitution, said this:

"The Bible is the best of all books, for it is the word of God and teaches us the way to be happy in this world and in the next. Continue therefore to read it and to regulate your life by its precepts."

I've listed just three quotes here, and there are many, many more.

This country was founded on religious, Christian principles. The founders believed in religion, and Christianity.

"Under God." "In God We Trust."

The fact that these 6 words are under attack, if you go to the founder's grave sites, put your ear to the ground, you would hear them rolling furiously in their graves.

Tradition

Ah...Saturday. A day to get in the house, click on the tube, and watch almost grown men beat the shit out of each other wrestling over a brown leather oblong ball.

In other words...SATURDAY IS FOR COLLEGE FOOTBALL!!!!!!

Now, my No 2 ranked (in every poll) Texas Longhorns aren't playing today. I can see your tears. I will miss seeing them kick some ass, but look on the bright side.

One more week to prepare for the party when they beat the shit outta Texas A&M NEXT weekend.

The Longhorns have been rooted in the Number 2 spot all season, aside from a one week freak when they were Number 1 in the BCS.

While I'm on the subject, why does a computer decide who plays for it all?

The BCS started a couple years back to end the debate on who should be in the National Title Game. And every year since, its been controversy after controversy. When will they decide to put in a playoff system? Its quite simple, I'll explain it to you.

There are 12 Conferences in the NCAA Division I:

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/teams/

Big 12
Big 10
SEC
ACC
Big East
CUSA
PAC 10
Mountain West
Independent
WAC
MAC
Sun Belt

Now, you set up a simple bracket system, with the top 2 ranked teams on both sides of the country with a bye week, with the Conference Champions only making the cut. Break it up into East and West.

Or, nobody gets a bye week, and the 4 second place teams with the highest rankings making the cut (kinda like the wild card in baseball).

While these are going on, the other teams get their bowl games played. As other teams get eliminated, they play their bowl games. The Championship Game is played with one of the top 5 bowls (Orange, Rose, Fiesta, Cotton, Sugar). The others are played with the losers that make it the farthest.

And there you have it. A Championship without the Polls getting in the way, especially the BCS nightmare.

Time to step up

http://www.weneedafence.com/default.asp

The border between the United States and Mexico is as open as Paris Hilton's legs. For the sake of our country, we need to close both. But, I'll leave Ms. Hilton for another time.

Every year, 1 million plus Mexicans cross the border. Many do more than once. This is up from 700,000 to 800,000 yearly in the 1990s.

The drain on the economy is staggering.

Hospitals in the Southwestern States know that they will come across people with no insurance, and more likely no money.

Companies see the cheap labor as a huge bonus. Passing money under the table, tax free, to the illegal aliens can only help both sides. But, since the money is tax-free no money is kept in the United States. Over 2 BILLION DOLLARS each year are sent back to Mexico.

Texas recently made a law saying an illegal immigrant, living in Texas, can get the special discount rate for native Texans in Texas Universities across the state. Kalifornication spends approximately $7.7 BILLION each year to put children of illegal immigrants through grades K-12. Nearly 15% of Kalifornication students are children of illegal immigrants.

What does it take to come in legally? Very little. Go to the nearest American Consulate, fill out some forms (helpfully written in Spanish), and wait a couple of weeks. Over 85% of work visas are approved each year from Mexico.

The Hispanic population of America has shown themselves to be for more open borders, a dismantling of the US Border Patrol, and the take-over of the United States itself.

Why?

Mexicans who cross the border are called "wetbacks" from the crossing of the Rio Grande separating Texas and Mexico. Hispanics as a whole are seen as possible border crossers, and therefore are discriminated against. Instead of trying to close the border and making Mexicans in this country legal, they want to take over this country from within, all in the name of heritage.

If they came across legally, Hispanics as a whole would be viewed in a better light. We wouldn't wonder anymore if the hispanic in the next car was here illegally or not, and we see them as a threat to American jobs.

Yet, they still come across illegally.

If it was only Mexicans coming across, it wouldn't be such a large problem. It would be a problem of economy only, with long-range national security problems that would build slowly.

But, its not just Mexicans.

In the past year, 450 people have been detained and deported from countries officially designated "special interest" to include: Afghanistan, Angola, Pakistan, Yemen, Qatar, and Jordan...places where terrorists grow like wheat in Nebraska.

450...that we've caught. What about the once that we haven't caught? How many of them have been sent to perform acts of terror against this country? How many have been sent to support those who would perform acts of terror against the US?

We need to end this. The beginning is to build a fence between the border. Chain link, barbed wire, concrete, anything would be an improvement over what we have now...which is pretty much nothing.

But, first we have to show the government that we want something done. Massive amounts of news stories haven't gotten any response, aside from platitudes. The link at the beginning of this post will lead you to a petition to sign. All you have to fill out is your name, e-mail address, and zip code, with choices to send the petition to the President, Senator, and Representative.

Protect the nation, protect your fellow Americans.

Have they died in vain?

I hate to say this, but its my belief that many Liberals/Democrats feel that every American/Coalition Soldier, Sailor, Marine, Airman in Iraq has died in vain.

I'm not saying that all of them believe this, but many do.

Lately, the calls for the removal of troops in Iraq have gone the path that its because the troops have failed.

Iraq is now a haven for terrorists and Cindy Sheehan's Freedom Fighters.

Our troops have tortured and destroyed the lives of Iraqis, whether they have lifted a gun against our troops or not.

Abu Girab continues to be harped upon as a massive failure and proof of US led torture, although those who did the stupidity have since been tried and convicted in a court of law.

Whenever our troops clear out a city, they leave to move to the next one...and in come the terrorists again.

All this and more have been used to show that our troops have failed in their mission. To hold off more embarrassments, its time to remove the troops from Iraq.

To remove them before the mission is complete is to say that every one of the 2060+ American men and women that have died is that they died in vain, for no purpose other than to shorten their lives.

To die in vain, or worse, to force someone to die in vain, is the worst thing you can do to someone fighting a war.

Light 'em up

http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/entertainment/article.adp?id=20051117081709990010&ncid=NWS00010000000001
In a newly revised edition of the book (Goodnight Moon), which has lulled children to sleep for nearly 60 years, the publisher, HarperCollins, has digitally altered the photograph of Clement Hurd, the illustrator, to remove a cigarette from his hand.

HarperCollins said it made the change to avoid the appearance of encouraging smoking and did so with the permission of the illustrator's estate. But Mr. Hurd's son, also a children's book illustrator and author, said he felt pressured to allow it. And the move has touched off something of a tempest in the nursery, with some children's booksellers expressing outrage. One has even mounted a campaign to have the original picture restored.

I enjoy a cigarette every now and again (in fact I'm smoking now). In many places, its become against the law to smoke.

Why?

If I choose to kill my self by inhaling a noxious substance, that's my right. But, the non-smoking lobby has started telling me how I should live.

In Kalifornication, its against the law to smoke even outside, in city parks!!!! Its already illegal to smoke in restaurants, bars, and other public places out there.

Now, there have been attempts to stop people from smoking in personal vehicles. There have been attempts to stop smoking in places where more than one domicile shares (apartments and townhouses) a central air system. And this is not just Kalifornication, this has been tried in multiple states.

Smoking cigarettes is legal. I'm going to repeat that. Smoking cigarettes is legal. It is not against the law to pull a pack of Camels out of your pocket, along with a flame producing device, and light the cigarette.

Smoking is not healthy. I know that. Every smoker knows that. But, it is what we choose. We choose to light up the first time. After that, it may not be a choice, but we did choose the first time.

This is not states saying that you are not allowed to smoke marijuana. They've already said that. Aside from medical reasons, its not legal.

Marijuana is not cigarettes.

Smoking crack is not legal.

Crack is not cigarettes.

So, we must ask the question why do people give a good goddamn what I do to my body?

Simple...people have too much time on their hands. When they see nothing more they can improve in their own lives, they look around and see me, lit cigarette in hand, and tell me how to live my life.

When I'm in a public place, say my barbershop (which allows smoking...I love that man), and I'm about to light up, I ask the people there if its ok. If ONE person says they wouldn't like it, I don't light up. Its called respect for others. I respect their wish not to have me smoke in their presence, all I ask is to be afforded the same respect that I am allowed to smoke in MY presence.

Time to light up again.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!

I love Christmas. I really do. The gifts, the family, the gifts, the music, the gifts, the tree, the gifts...all of it. But, really, do we need this to start THIS early?

For the past 2 weeks, local music stations have started up the "Holiday Season" music lineup. Check your radio dial, you'll find one.

Ace Hardware has began commercials for their holiday sales. Kay's Jewlery has Sants buying a diamond ring for a surprised Mrs. Clause. Wal-Mart has had their Christmas displays out for weeks now, since at least Halloween. That's 2 months for those of you calenderic challenged.

When I was a child...oh, so many years ago, Christmas started the day after Thanksgiving. Since 2000 (when I started to realize it, it probably started well before that), its started earlier and earlier. At first, it was just the week of Thanksgiving.

That's no problem, just getting a jump start, and informing the public on the sales, that start the day after Thanksgiving (Also known as Black Friday, not only because they make the most money that day, but the nightmares that occur from preparing for it).

But now, its anytime from Halloween on. Just wait until your 4th of July party is interrupted by you running to the store to start your Christmas shopping. Ah, we'll be nostalgic for 2005.

Normally, by Christmas day, I'm ready for it. But now, I peak somewhere in the middle of December...the rest is Bah-Humbug feelings until its finally over.

If it was just to try to get people in the SPIRIT of Christmas (giving, helping, kindness, etc), great, the more the merrier. But, this is all about Commercialism.

In the time its taken me to write this, I've had 4 commercials come on the TV for Christmas sales.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!

'Peace Mom' Plans to Resume Protest at Bush's Ranch

CRAWFORD, Texas (Nov. 16) - The fallen soldier's mother who drew thousands to her 26-day war protest near President Bush's ranch this summer plans to return for Thanksgiving next week, despite new county ordinances banning roadside camping.

Ah...she had her name out of the spotlight for too long. Perhaps Official Washington isn't giving her the attention she thinks she deserves.

Cindy Sheehan and at least a dozen supporters are prepared to be arrested as they return to the makeshift campsite along the road leading to Bush's ranch, where he is expected to spend the holiday.

More arrests...more time in the media...more airtime for her cause.

"It is critical for our democracy that we continue to ask the same questions that Cindy Sheehan asked this summer: What is the noble cause for the war with Iraq, and at what point do we say enough bloodshed has happened?" said Hadi Jawad, co-founder of the Crawford Peace House.

An arab looking for peace in Iraq. I'm really surprised.

Bush has defended the decision to go into Iraq in 2003, citing the threat posed by Saddam Hussein. Bush also has said troops need to remain in Iraq as long as necessary.

Until the job is done. Makes sense to me. Keep us there and keep more Iraqis alive. Somehow this makes sense to me.

Sheehan, whose 24-year-old son Casey was killed in Iraq last year, was not arrested during the vigil that coincided with Bush's working vacation at his ranch just outside Crawford.

She didn't so anything wrong, why would she be arrested? 1st Amendment anyone?

But dozens of residents in the rural area complained of noise and traffic congestion as the protesters pitched tents in shallow ditches about 2 1/2 miles away from the ranch. Some traffic was from counter protests of hundreds of Bush supporters who said Sheehan's group was hurting troop morale.

Rural people like their peace and quiet. Its how it normally is, and when its not, it scares the aminals, resulting in a loss of money.

A month later, McLennan County commissioners approved the new ordinances, which prohibit parking on parts of 14 roads near the ranch - roughly a 5-mile radius - and prohibit camping in any county ditch. The laws also ban portable toilets in ditches.

Its sad that we need a law for this. No camping in a ditch, no porta-pottys in a ditch, isn't this covered by common sense?
