Hadji Girl Song

I wish I wrote this, but I did not. A good friend of mine (morrisrs) did:

I'm sending this letter to HQMC concerning the Hadji Girl song. Enjoy:

Dear Sir-As a former Marine, I’m disappointed in the reaction of the Marine Corps to the recent “Hadji Girl”song sung by Cpl. Belile. The United States is in a death struggle with Islamofascists and its Marines such as Cpl. Belile who are putting their lives on the line for the rest of us enjoying the good life in America.

Cpl. Belile’s song is a stress relief that has been used by American troops in the field since the founding of the Republic. Cpl. Belile used that song to entertain and provide a valve of relief to his fellow brothers in arms. He should not be punished, investigated or otherwise be ostracized by the command because of his song.

Far from making good public relations with the Muslim community, the Corps has shown its weakness which the enemy will exploit. One of the advantages which the Marines have over our enemies is superior morale and esprit de corps. This lack of resolve from HQMC will trickle down to the Marines in the field. These Marines will now feel threatened when they go back in the rear to relax because they might be punished for “offending” the enemy. American’s center of gravity is its morale and the actions from HQMC have just weakened it.

The Marine Corps issuing a statement that they were investigating the origins of the song plays right into the hands of America’s enemies. The instigator of this is CAIR, which has been known to be have sympathetic ties to Islamic terrorist groups around the world. Responding to this group gives it legitimacy and makes it grow stronger. Make no doubt, the actions of HQMC will only spur more “statements of concern” from CAIR as it tries to weaken America’s and the Marine’s resolve to fight the war against Islamofascism.

I was always proud of the fact that the Marine Corps defined themselves as defenders of an ancient warrior code and would not let political correctness seep into the fabric of its ethos. I feel that this code has stood the test of time in many battles that the Corps has won for its country. Unfortunately, the Marines’ response to CAIR has demonstrated that not “offending” the enemy is more important than standing up for what is right.

Overall, I’m deeply saddened by the actions of some officers at headquarters. Marines in Iraq are risking their lives daily and the Marines at HQMC should at least stand up to a group that threatens America’s values. Unfortunately, it seems that some Marines at HQMC are more concerned for their careers then for the safety of the Nation and the morale of the Marines in the field.

If you haven't heard of this...what rock do you live under? Most rocks these days even have cable.

Here's the song.
